Arjan Kol is Senior Scientist at Ardena and part of the Science Team, where he leads biomarker studies using ligand-binding, flow cytometry and qPCR assays. He joined Ardena in 2021 as Scientist and Project Manager to expand the site’s bioanalytical services with flow cytometry.
Before joining Ardena, Arjan completed his PhD at the Department of Medical Oncology of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). His doctoral research focused on human epidermal growth factor receptor and immune checkpoint dynamics, using in vitro cell-based models and preclinical PET imaging. As a postdoctoral researcher, he continued this work with a focus on imaging tumor-infiltrating T cells to monitor the effects of immune checkpoint inhibitor treatment.
Arjan studied Biomedical Sciences and obtained his PhD from the University of Groningen.
