Ardena Bolsters US Business Development with Key Appointment in the East Coast

Ardena, a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), is pleased to announce the strategic addition of James Henkelis as the Business Development Manager for the US East Coast.

Originally from the North of England, James earned his undergraduate (BSc and MChem) and graduate (PhD, Chemistry) degrees from the University of Leeds. Relocating to the United States in 2014, he held a prestigious Postdoctoral Fellowship at Northwestern University under the mentorship of Nobel Laureate Sir Fraser Stoddart.

James’s recent accomplishment of earning an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology underscores his commitment to continuous professional growth. Currently residing in Princeton, NJ, James brings a unique global perspective to Ardena’s dynamic team.

In his previous role at Sage Therapeutics, James served as a senior process chemist and project manager for two years, playing a pivotal role in orchestrating early-stage chemical development programs. His wealth of experience and success in the pharmaceutical industry positions him as a valuable asset to Ardena’s expanding team.

James’s six-year tenure at the Dow Chemical Company, where he specialized as a process chemist in the agrochemical division, further solidifies his expertise in early-stage process chemistry and project leadership. His background as a synthetic chemist enhances the capabilities of Ardena’s multidisciplinary platform.

The addition of James Henkelis to Ardena marks a significant milestone in the company’s pursuit of excellence in drug development. Ardena remains steadfast in its dedication to mitigating development risks, ensuring seamless project execution, and reducing time-to-clinic through its comprehensive CDMO services.
