Describe a typical day at Ardena – what does your job entail?

A typical day doesn’t exist if you’re working in HR or Finance at Ardena. Each day brings its own unique events. The goal is to follow up with the ‘hot’ topics as fast as possible, while simultaneously keeping track of the daily tasks.

What do you love most about your job?

My role gives me the opportunity to know every employee in the company. I love this because it means I see different faces every day and it brings a variety of new opportunities.

What is the biggest challenge you face at work?

For me it is keeping up to date with legislation within the field of HR and Finance and trying to implement that legislation in the correct way.

What three skills do you need most for your role?

You definitely need to have a good understanding of numbers and data, as well as good social skills at the same time. Planning and accuracy also take great importance as well.

What did you do before this job? And what made you join Ardena?

I previously worked in the Financial Accounting department of a big Belgian financial institution and as an Economist in the social profit industry. The Ardena project captivated me because of the wide scope of activities I would have in my work.

What is it about Ardena that makes the company unique?

All the colleagues get along very well. This strong connection ensures that the Ardena employees form a real, solid team.
